from the Philippines to Indonesia
01
Five years on the move
Lou Villaluna is from the Philippines. He helps nurse coaches and remote workers build high-ticket visibility and get paid, and he has worked in the premium remote space while traveling around the world for over five years.
02
A question that led to Indonesia

Curiosity brought Lou to Indonesia: he wanted to understand why digital nomads are attracted to opportunities there. Instead of watching from the outside, he immersed himself in the culture and made local friendships “beyond imagination”.
“When a genuine conversation occurs, there’s a shared understanding between two people wanting to communicate.”
— Lou
03
Expectations and surprises
Lou expected to find local culture and traditions preserved despite modernisation. What surprised him was how much pride people take in keeping their heritage alive. He also noticed that some people don't yet know how to use modern opportunities to strengthen the values they care about.
04
The kindness he remembers

His most memorable experience was the genuine respect and kindness people shared with him. Locals took him to hidden gems, treated him to a free meal, and introduced him to their friends, their families and every tradition they're proud of.
05
English as a bridge
To connect, Lou used English and universal sign language. For him, English played a crucial role in helping people connect and understand each other, bridging the gap between languages that want to align and communicate.
Indonesia broadened his perspective on life and business, and it is a country he says he will never get tired of exploring.
“I’ve been traveling around the world for over 5 years now but I will never get tired of exploring this country.”
— Lou
